AO 504 Clearing Committee to clear and endorse land applications within Baguio to CENRO Baguio
The Administrative Order 504 Clearing Committee is set to endorse land applications within Baguio City for eventual processing of Townsite Sales Application.
This, considering the AO 504 deliberations conducted by the AO 504 late 2022 over 66 Sworn of Statement of Intent (SSI) submitted to its office. Of the SSI, 55 were processed, subjected to ocular inspection by the Secretariat. Among which, 39 SSI were recommended for clearance of the AO 504 Committee.
The Committee is now expected to approve such SSI through a resolution, and forward it to the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office Baguio for the regular processing of Townsite Sales Application.
Those that did not pass the screening during the deliberation shall be returned to the applicants for compliance of the lacking requirements.
Other significant accomplishments of the Technical Staff of the Committee is the conduct of reinventory of filed SSI. Of the 6,141 files on record, only 3,504 remain active. Others were considered dormant and returned to the applicants for failure to comply with the requirements. Some lands applied for were found to be covered by Certificate of Ancestral Land Titles.
Late 2022, the City Government of Baguio procured a Toyota Innova multipurpose utility vehicle for CENRO Baguio to aid the CENRO, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office Benguet and the DENR-CAR Regional Office in the activities of the AO 504, and in all other environment-related activities that support the city.
The AO 504 Clearing Committee is the successor of then Baguio Coordinating Commitee. It is responsible for the accepting, screening and processing Townsite Sales Applications in Baguio City.
