The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-CAR is energy efficient

The Inter-Agency Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee (IAEECC), led by the Department of Energy, recognized the DENR-CAR for its energy efficiency and conservation best practices in terms of its office policies; electricity conservation; and fuel conservation.

This is the result of a spotcheck conducted by the Department of Energy Audit Team on July 7. The audit team gave a perfect score of 100% to the Department on 20 indicators, a five-star rating, and a final grade of A which means that the Department is compliant with the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP).

The GEMP is pursuant to Republic Act No. 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.

The Energy Audit Rating was given to the Department and was received by Assistant Regional Executive Director for Management Services, Atty. Cleo D. Sabado-Andrada and Administrative Division Chief, Mia Batcagan-Tayag.
