A communication, education and public awareness activity was conducted at the Mt. Pulag National Park in celebration of this year's Earth Day and Earth Month.

With the theme "Invest in our Planet", the activity aimed to provide a first-hand experience of what Mt. Pulag has to offer in terms of aesthetics, environmental and cultural value. It is also an effort to raise awareness about the national park's state and the concerns therein such as the growing population, loss of biodiversity, and degrading quality of the environment. Consequently, the participants could better come up with recommendations that would help address them.

Participants were the members of the Regional Ecotourism Committee; officials and employees from the DENR-CAR Regional Office, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office of Benguet, and the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office Baguio, from the Department of Tourism-CAR, Benguet State University, Cordillera Mountaineering Group, Philippine National Police, National Police Commission, NGO Climate Change Action Group, Zero Waste Baguio, and representatives from the private sector, among others.
