The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Cordillera Administrative Region filled up a total of 87 positions in its regional and field offices. At the Regional Office of the DENR-CAR, 26 employees were newly appointed; 8 in Abra; 10 in Apayao; 11 in Benguet; nine in Ifugao; nine in Kalinga; and four in Mountain Province.

DENR Undersecretary for Policy, Planning and International Affairs, Atty. Jonas Leones has informed and recognized Pablo and the DENR-CAR for its outstanding performance in government administration making it pass the Phase 1 of the 2022 EAGLE.
The DENR-CAR is one of the top 5 list of the regional offices which shall proceed to Phase 1-B or ranking evaluation, and Phase 2 which will focus on leadership assessment, after thorough review and evaluation of the office’s performance based on four dimensions of accountability, specifically, Performance Result based on General Appropriations Act (GAA) indicatots; Financial Result in accordance with Budget Utilization Rate (BUR) disbursement; Process Result in terms of Streamlining and Process Improvement of Critical Services (SPICS); Client Satisfaction Survey (CSS); and Nine Agency Accountabilities.
Identified Regional Executive Directors, Provincial/Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers from the top 5 regions who has shown exemplary leadership performance in the attainment of their regional physical and financial targets in line with the 2022 Performance-Based Bonus guidelines are nominated under the EAGLE awards.
With this, Regional Executive Director Engr. Ralph Pablo recognized and thanked the DENR-CAR officials for their significant contributions in executing their tasks with efficiency and effectiveness leading to the attainment of the office’s targets, and the fulfillment of its mandates.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Cordillera Administrative Region and the Cordillera Hydro Electric Power Corporation had their Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing of the special forest land use agreement for a hydro-electric power generation system at Barangays Beleng-belis, Balakbak, and Cuba in the Municipality of Kapangan; and Barangay Badeo in the Municipality of Kibungan, Benguet.
Bida ang handa. DENR-CAR employees joins the 2nd quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on June 8. The drill aims to create awareness and strengthen the preparedness and response of the public in times of earthquake.
PCLU compeletes internship at DENR-CAR. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Cordillera Administrative Region holds a simple ceremony for the students from Polytechnic College of La Union who completed 486 hours for their On-the-Job Training. During the ceremony the students shared their experiences and learnings working in the division that they were assigned to. As an advice, OIC – Office of the Regional Executive Director, Engr. Benjamin A. Ventura told the students that, “in achieving our goal we must show dedication and give meaning to each and everything we do” as this speaks a lot when it comes to work ethics and how we act accordingly in certain situations. The students, during their internship were assigned to both management and technical divisions of the DENR-CAR rendering acts of public service related to their academic course.
