TREES FOR LIFE IN APAYAO – The verdant hills and mountains of Apayao province will be more enhanced with the planting of fruit tree and other tree species seedlings as part of the Trees for Life: 20 Million Seedlings for Planting and Nurturing Project. The DENR-CAR thru RED Samuel R. Peñafiel spearheaded the launching of the Agroforestry Thematic Area in the province participated in by the local government unit of Luna, Apayao and all national line agencies and other offices in the area.
A TREE FOR BAGUIO – DENR Secretary Lito Atienza who graced the launching of the Trees for Life Project (Urban Regreening component) in the city plant the first “Baguio Urban Tree” with Mayor Peter Rey Bautista and Congressman Mauricio Domogan . The tree planting was witnessed by Mrs. Bing Atienza, Councilor Lourdes Tabanda, and DENR Undersecretary Eleazar.
